Abstract
The purpose of this article was to take again the topic of medicines of diagnostic use, mainly the cycloplegic medicines, their pharmacologic action, types, ocular effects, undesirable effects, contraindications. All of this with the intention of spreading more the use of this tool in daily consultation and in mandatory cases, from the knowledge and extensive review of the topic.
