Selection guide for a test rigid contact lens
Ciencia y Tecnología para la Salud Visual y Ocular

Abstract

Before carrying out a test for rigid contact lenses we have to make a detailed evaluation of the patient regarding the form and power of the cornea’s curvature, the position and tension, especially of the upper eyelid which has a great influence in the position of the lens, and the dioptric power of the lens to be ordered. All these elements must be clinically analyzed and correlated to order to have a successful first encounter with the possible rigid contact lens customer.
