Prevention plan for visual risks in a technical State school

Abstract

State school is highly important because in all the workshops there are several types of risks that may cause visual accidents. A prevention and promotion plan in visual risks was designed to be used as a guide in other technical and industrial high schools. The plan is a structured compilation of norms, criteria, procedures, instructions, actions and recommendations that must be considered by the actors included in the teaching-learning process and some others who indirectly allow this process, in order to secure the management of all the factors implied in the visual risk prevention. This study concluded that it is not an easy task to make a visual risk prevention plan for a technical State school, because there are factors such as lack of communication regarding some processes inside the workshops, lack of responsibility by the actors included regarding security and occupational health, distribution of necessary resources to make it work such as economical, human, technical among others. The most satisfactory part of the study was the socialization of the plan, because the community received it with pleasure and decided to implement it in order to see if the suggested measures are useful to avoid visual accidents in the school.
